1. Project Trident funding approved within finalised BP25

On the 31 January, Xoserve was delighted to present the publication of our final BP25 document, after final approval by the Xoserve Board, including FY2025/26 to fund Project Trident.

The business planning process runs annually, setting out the budget to deliver CDSP services and investment proposals for the next 3 financial years (2025-2028). Every cycle features invaluable engagement with our DSC customers and wider industry stakeholders to ensure the plan is built on trust and transparency. This publication finalises the approved funding for FY2025/26, and forecasts the ongoing funds required up to March 2028.

The project funding has been secured within BP25 through our Strategic Outline Case (SOC). It is also supported through the UK Link Sustain investment proposal, which will ensure the existing service continuity between 2025 and the eventual Project Trident solution implementation.

You can find all Business Planning content, including documents, stakeholder feedback and videos of the multiple engagement sessions we have facilitated on our dedicated BP25 Hub.

If you have any questions regarding BP25 and Project Trident, please get in touch with us via communications@xoserve.com.

2. Project Trident Customer Update

On Wednesday 5 February, we held a Project Trident update call to share high-level updates on the ongoing key project activities with our DSC Contract Managers and Project Trident Engagement Leads.

The objective of this update was:

  • To provide a high-level update to customers on the outcomes from Project Trident vendor market engagement.
  • To elaborate on our plans for further assurance for Project Trident.
  • To share information on our progress within the Enterprise Architecture Team.

We hosted 30 customer representatives on the call and took the opportunity to answer a number of excellent questions. All of which have now been to added to our Query Log, on the Project Trident homepage.

For those that were unable to attend, we've also published the presentation used, which you can access HERE. Due to potential commercial sensitivity, the session was not recorded. If there are DSC Contract Managers or Project Trident Engagement Leads who were unable to attend and would like an overview, please contact communications@xoserve.com and we will arrange a session.

3. Enterprise Advisory Partner appointed

Procurement activities have continued and we can confirm the appointment of Resulting IT as our Enterprise Advisor partner.

  • Resulting IT are an independent SAP consultancy and well experienced in assessing how the UK Link SAP IS-U ECC6 modernisation can best meet our industry requirements.
  • Their representatives are already working hard with our Leadership team, Architects, and Business Analysts to assess the existing UK Link estate and assess the requirements against each of the recommended options.
